The Berthoud High School soccer team continues to roll with its high scoring and solid defense, winning over Holy Family High School 5 - 0. The Spartans have won all three games played against non-conference opponents with 20 goals scored and only 4 goals against. Coach Jon Barron's squad brought home another decisive victory as they defeated Roosevelt 7-4. Berthoud led 3-2 at the half on goals by Ayala, Beltran and Berra. Berthoud added four more goals in the second period with two scores by Karlsen with Beltran and Ayala each scoring. Roosevelt is now 1-1 while Berthoud is 2-0. Berthoud wins season soccer opener
The Berthoud Spartans dominated their season opener against The Valley Vikings 8-0. Berthoud controlled the game from the beginning, denying the Vikings from having scoring opportunities. Most of the action was in the Viking end of the field the entire first half. The Spartans were able to control most inbounds, including Viking possessions. Local soccer team takes the “Rushmore Cup”
The Club United Black soccer team from Thompson Soccer Association finished their season by winning the Rushmore Cup. The under 15-years of age team has players from Berthoud, Loveland, Windsor and Fort Collins, The team finished the Spring 2010 Season with a record of 5-3-1 earning fourth place in a field of 10 teams in its Colorado division.
