Leah M. Moore, 97, of Loveland died peacefully at her daughter’s home October 8, 2013. She was born March 30, 1916 in Severance, Colorado, to Fred and Katherine Brunner. Leah graduated from Eaton High School in 1934 and graduated with a Nursing degree at Presbyterian School of Nursing in 1937. She was surgical nurse at Loveland Memorial Hospital for over many years, retiring in 1975. She has lived in Loveland for 51 years before moving to Berthoud 7 years ago. Leah married Paul Moore ... Rose Ellen “Peggy”Carroll-Pedotto, passed away peacefully in her home in Loveland on September 27, 2013. She had lived in Northern Colorado since 1968. Peggy was born at home on September 15, 1935 in Ordway, Colorado, and was the third of six children. She was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and dear friend who will be missed by many. Donald G. Soeby 9/1/1931 – 9/9/2013 Donald George Soeby; died September 9, 2013. Donald was a former Army man who served in the Korean War. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee, 17-year-old Steven Berger died of his injuries on Thursday. A memorial service was held at the Five Stones center on Thursday evening. Passangers in the vehicle at the time of accident were: Tinaya Norris, 17: Brennon Lee, 17: Nick Monchak, 20 and Nick Vanderlinden, 19, all of Berthoud. Local magician makes the golf ball disappear
Lloyd Mobley, a Berthoud resident for 16 years is perhaps better known as the “Great Lloydini” as he and his wife Linda performed their magic show in Berthoud and the surrounding area for many years. He has been playing golf most of his life but only taken it seriously since last summer. He spends most of his practice time at the Olde Course in Loveland, putting, chipping, hitting out of sand traps and driving on the range.
