May 1-2 Saturday, May 1 Unsafe Lane Change / Eluding: CR.8, a 17-year-old male was contacted on a traffic stop for speeding and unsafe passing. After the male provided documentation for the vehicle he drove away from the stop after asking if he would receive the citation. The male was followed and contacted again less than a quarter mile away at his house and detained. Summonsed and released to an authorized guardian.         April 1- 4 Thursday, April 1 Vehicle Crash / Hit & Run: E. Colorado Avenue. A resident reported someone ran into his truck causing damage to his truck and pushing it into a van causing more damage. Blue parts of the hit-car were left, and part numbers come back to a 2014-2015 Mercedes Benz C-250 or 350 but with severe right front damage. Mercedes? This is not going to be a cheap fix. Karma! Incident Report April 1 - 4 Thursday, April 1 Berthoud Fire responded to the 1000 block of 7th Street for a 67-year-old man with a laceration. TVEMS assumed patient care. The crew assisted with loading the patient for transport. Friday, April 2 Engine 62 responded to the 800 block of Wagon Bend Drive for a medical. Fire destroys home west of Berthoud

          Photos by Berthoud Fire Protection District                             Berthoud Fire responded to structure fire early Thursday morning. By the time they arrived, the first responders found the home heavily involved. Five people were confirmed to have safely evacuated the home and were not injured. The home in the 3000 block of West County Road 8 was substantially damaged.

Fraud: Morey Court, a woman reported someone attempted open a credit account in her name. According to the credit company there have been several inquiries.
