September 1-5 Wednesday, September 1 Berthoud Fire responded to the Berthoud Living Center for a medical. Squad 61 dispatched to the 18000 block of Weld Cty Road 3 for a 77-year-old woman with breathing problems. The crew assisted with loading of the patient into the ambulance for transport to a local hospital. Engine 61 and TVEMS were dispatched to I-25 Mead exit ramp for a single vehicle accident.               August 1-8 Sunday, August 1 Squad 61 dispatched to the 1600 block of Mount Meeker Avenue for an 80-year-old man who had fallen. TVEMS assumed patient care. The patient stated he was not injured and requested a lift assist. The patient was assisted off of the ground and to a couch. Since 1948, members of the Hilltop Guild in Allenspark have been opening the Kelley House and their hearts to the public in the form of their annual bazaar, always taking place on the first Saturday in August. This year the bazaar falls on Aug. 7 and will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 18720 Highway 7 just about halfway between Estes Park and Lyons.         July 1 - 11 Thursday, July 1 Squad 61 was called for a sick person that needed to be transported in the 1000 block of 4th Street. Engine 61 was dispatched to I-25 NB mm 248 for a 2-motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival found a tire that had fallen off a semi and hit two cars. Minor damage to both cars and all parties were out of the vehicles. There were no hazards except a large amount of glass in the roadway from one of the vehicles carrying glass panels.   Search for: We have heard nothing of this, but it shows that even Berthoud is not safe from those who claim to protect and serve. We are learning what people of color have known for years, don't call the police on your neighbor unless you want him killed. Also notable is that the deputies fired 5 shots at an unarmed man, framed in a doorway, and missed him every time.
